Interactive Learning—The Future in Primary Education.
Aboriginal Children’s Advancement Society has commenced a program aimed at improving the level of entry of Kirinari students into Secondary School.
The program titled Aboriginal Progressive Interactive Learning Activity (APILA) aims to supplement the establishment of Interactive Learning in primary schools such as Enngonia, Weilmoringle, Brewarrina, Goodooga etc. Kirinari students come from these and similar small schools in outback and northern New South Wales.
Rosemary Earle, Principal of Enngonia Public School is delighted with the progress of her students since using the software purchased with the first APILA grant of $1,778.70. She plans to visit Sydney with her Year 5 and 6 students during Term 4. They will visit Gymea and Endeavour High Schools where they will see what opportunities these schools offer should they choose to stay at Kirinari.
