ACAS acronym for Aboriginal Children’s Advancement Society.

The Society built the first Kirinari Aboriginal Students Hostel in 1967.

ACAS stands for the rights of Aboriginal children to a good education.

Aboriginal Children’s Advancement Society was formed in 1963 in answer to a call to Sutherland Shire citizens to make amends for the circumstances that had led to the unjust treatment of Aborigines.

Reconciliation Aboriginal Children’s Advancement Society aims to achieve Practical Reconciliation through the education of Aboriginal children attending Secondary High School.

Education is the key to the Advancement of Aboriginal children and youth towards a productive future. An opportunity to Learn to Earn.
